Phonics Falls: How to Play

To start the game, shuffle the deck and place all cards face down in the center. The youngest player goes first, and play continues in a clockwise rotation.

On Your Turn:

Draw one card from the deck.
Answer the challenge on the card out loud.
If you answer correctly, keep the card.
If you answer incorrectly, place the card at the bottom of the deck.

Card Categories:

Yellow: Clap the sounds; clap once for each sound in the word.
Green: Find the rhyme; say a word that rhymes with the word on the card.
Blue: Fill in the blank; say the correct word to complete the sentence.

Players may also encounter additional challenge cards with unique instructions to follow.

How to Win: The game ends when the deck is finished. The player who has collected the most cards wins.
